The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

My wish for 2020 is to have @Tzmanics available to explain all the things™ to me.

This walkthrough of using Scully, the new SSG for @angular is bloomin' great!

@jaffathecake Ha ha ha. Very good. I’m not sure that this is the approved communication channel to convey that. But exceptions can be made.

And we need to do this.

@chuckletmilk @ThePracticalDev Interesting. I’m used to working in an environment where hosting static assets on a CDN and tiggering a build which generates those assets is all rolled up into one system.

@chuckletmilk @ThePracticalDev I like to mitigate that by only hitting the backend data source at build time rather than for every request. And by triggering a new build only when data changes.

Thanks @swyx, I had a feeling there might be more to discuss and think about here. I'd be interested in @Jack_Franklin's thoughts some time after he's had a chance to consider how this might help his use case.

Ooooh. This is one to not miss.

@Tzmanics sharing her smarts with @jlengstorf about generating #JAMstack sites with @angular’s new snazzy static site generator abilities.

I could listen to these 2 fine people all day.

Woah! Big news for @Angular developers interested in #JAMstack and SSGs.

Pre-generation of a site using Angular is now a thing thanks to its new tooling.

@Tzmanics takes a look...

@yoavweiss Delighted to hear that you’re giving Netlify a go! I’m away with family right now so might not be the best route for support, so I suggest searching and asking any specific questions over in http://community.netlify.com where both support team members and helpful folks offer wisdom.

I've never been a great sketcher, but I enjoy it. And having an iPad and a Pencil (which I think is pretty amazing) has taken me back to enjoying taking notes and doodling concepts this way.
Fun.
