The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

Psst: Combine these with @Netlify's redirects and your API gets nicely decoupled.

What's the URL? Whatever you want!

Redirect or proxy to anywhere.
Roll your own with Functions or use a service.
Evolve your API instead of getting locked in to choices you made at the start. https://twitter.com/Netlify/status/1283086376821567494

@trostcodes You are too kind!

My links & intros were rightly edited out prior to posting. Minutes of rambling on about how much I love the next speaker, and people's desk setups doesn't age all that well.

But there should be an all-Phil, only-Phil director's cut!

I create a lot of new git repositories.

It took about 60 seconds to change the default branch name from "master" to "main" whenever I run "git init" in the future.

This told me all I needed:

@petervangrieken I kind of assumed that and the notes would be in another window. I still see the slide thumbnails in the touchbar. (Seeing the slide navigator in the touchbar is the best use of the touchbar I've found)
