@martinhelmut O confess, I think very little about the issue of losing ad revenue from content being read via RSS rather thank on site.
I suspect that there is a massive cohort of site owners for whom this is a non-issue, and I’m eager to encourage them.
For others, publishing an excerpt rather than the full article can actually be a good discovery and inbound traffic generator.

Calling in at Northwestern University on my way home from San Francisco to see my talented nephew perform in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble.
Excited.

I think most of us (me included) just fell into different habits for consumption.
Enjoying going back to it!

Excited.

@charlesroper Thank you!

Netlify does this? Is this part of a build who's output is served on Netlify? I'm not sure what sort of post-processing from Netlify would be responsible.

Speaking of RSS, it's going to be so trivial to surface posts from my new Mastadon profile on my personal site thanks to the automatic RSS feed provided there by simply adding .rss to my profile page.

Also encouraged by the crossposting from Twitter to Mastadon to reduce friction as I explore transitioning to a new home.
https://crossposter.masto.donte.com.br/ makes it very simple to originate posts in just one place and crosspost in whichever direction you like

@brianleroux Thanks!
Hoping this sticks.
I'm going to make some effort in that direction, and seeing friendly familiar faces being active is a major motivator.

Thanks for a typically wonderful talk!

Also motivated as a result of these times to make a return to regularly posting on my own site, which has an RSS feed that will become more active again.

The muthaload! 🙏
I've just started recreating my list of feeds and... I think you already have 'em all.
But I've been noodling on a pattern of publishing your feeds on your site and making it easier for folks to compare that to their own list and thus graze and discover.

Feeling happier after switching my regular doom-scrolling habits for some refreshing algorithm-free RSS.
Curating a list of feeds I care about is nice.
Still thinking about how I make new discoveries without being overwhelmed.
Get RSS on your sites, y'all.
